Pine Tar Soap | Pine Sap

This is a creamy bar with a gentle lather and rich, moisturizing ingredients! These bars are crafted from organic ingredients. The fats and oils work together to make a dreamy bar of soap that won't dry out your skin. This soap is gentle enough for use on your hands or body and is a gentle degreaser while also still being moisturizing for your skin. All ingredients are organic or wildcrafted. Each bar measures roughly 2" by 3" by 1" (NEW SIZE!) and is approximately 4 ounces by weight

ABOUT — Pure pine tar is made from boiling down the sap from pine trees, yielding a very sticky syrup. (It is NOT coal tar!) It has been used traditionally in woodworking to help protect wood, and medicinally—externally— for skin. Pine tar contains constituents from the pine resin. Resins are the lifeblood of the tree, and they “bleed” when the tree is injured, as a way to protect and heal the wood. Those same properties apply when used on the skin!

• pine tar

• lye (sodium hydroxide)

NOTE: this has a beautiful scent profile thanks to the pine tar! It has an earthy, forest-y scent that is pronounced.
