Start off this fall healthy

With kids heading back to school and fall quickly approaching, it’s the perfect time to give extra attention to your immune system. Prevention is always the best medicine, and the best way to prevent sickness is by nourishing your body so it isn’t depleted of essential vitamins and minerals. A strong foundation makes all the difference when stress, seasonal changes, and germs come our way.

Here are a few of my favorite immune system supports:

Pastured Bone Marrow

Bone marrow provides true ancestral nourishment. It’s rich in bioavailable minerals, collagen, stem cells, and essential fats. Even more, it contains an immune-boosting lipid known as alkylglycerol (AKG), which supports the immune system and stimulates the production of red and white blood cells.

Oyster (Zn)

This is a unique blend of 100% freeze-dried New Zealand oyster meat and mined (not synthetic) zinc glycinate. Zinc is widely known as an immune system powerhouse, and this supplement goes above and beyond by also providing selenium, copper, iodine, and vitamin B12—all naturally occurring in food. A true food-based way to strengthen your immune defenses.

Camu Camu

This wild-harvested berry contains 30–50x more vitamin C than oranges! Because it’s a whole food source, Camu Camu brings along phytochemicals, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that make vitamin C more absorbable and more effective. Since stress depletes vitamin C (and stress is unavoidable in today’s world), replenishing your stores is key to resilience.

Acerola Cherry

Another whole food vitamin C source, acerola cherry is a potent antioxidant that supports immune health far beyond its ascorbic acid content. Its unique range of micronutrients and phytochemicals provide additional protective benefits for the body.

Medicinal Mushrooms

Reishi, Maitake, Turkey Tail, and Chaga are gentle yet powerful tools for immune regulation. They help strengthen and balance the immune system while supporting overall vitality.

Important to take a holistic approach

As we move into this season of transition, it’s not just about supplements. Remember that sickness often has as much to do with stress and depletion as with exposure. Restorative sleep, stress-relieving practices, and nourishing your body with whole, supportive foods are just as essential as what’s in your supplement cabinet. Your body is incredibly wise when given the right tools. A little preparation now can go a long way in keeping you and your family healthy and thriving this fall.
